Born in Yokohama in 2001 and raised in LA, GAKU is an artist based at his studio in Kawasaki. For GAKU, who is autistic, "art" is his "language." He began painting suddenly at the age of 16 after encountering the works of Taro Okamoto. Today, he is a budding, internationally active artist, collaborating with various global brands, appearing frequently in the media, holding solo exhibitions in New York, and creating massive installations in Hong Kong.
